There’s some new music in NullG. Seven instrumental tracks, made with Suno, bring a little 90s drum and bass, jungle and EDM to the racing.
The inspiration comes from the original WipEout soundtracks, especially CoLD SToRAGE’s work. The aim was to capture some of that feeling in a new collection of songs for NullG. One track, “Cold Storage”, is a small homage to that influence.
There’s a practical reason for making new music, too. The goal is to build up original and re-imagined content that can be shared with NullG, rather than bundling copyrighted music and assets from the original games. This soundtrack is a start in that direction.
For now, the songs have their own entries in the NullG Cinematic Music Video series, paired with footage of classic WipEout circuits running in the engine. Each video plays the full track, with just the music to listen to.
